Gov. Ricketts Hosts UNL Chancellor Ronnie Green on "The Nebraska Way" Podcast

Today, Governor Pete Ricketts released the ninth episode of "The Nebraska Way" featuring University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor Ronnie Green. During this episode, Green discusses growing up in agriculture and its impact on his life and the state of Nebraska, how he became Chancellor of UNL, and the University's 150th birthday celebration and upcoming Homecoming Week.

Green, who was raised on a farm in southwest Virginia, received bachelor's and master's degrees in animal science from Virginia Tech and Colorado State University, respectively. His doctoral program was completed jointly at the University of Nebraska and the USDA-ARS U.S. Meat Animal Research Center in animal breeding and genetics in 1988. Green became the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's 20th Chancellor on May 8, 2016. Before becoming Chancellor, he served for six years as the Harlan Vice Chancellor of the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
